Mission and Values ~ Quality of Life Matters ~

At the clinic, we treat every patient as an important individual. We believe that the needs of the patient comes first. We believe that the quality of treatment is determined not only by the effectiveness of the therapy but also by the quality of the patient's life during and after the treatment.

At Dr. Vijae's Gynae and Cancer Clinic we are committed to staying current with the latest healthcare practices in conventional, complementary as well as alternative cancer care and management and at all times adhering to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and personal responsibility. We are committed to inspire hope and contribute to our patient's overall health and well-being by providing the best care through integrated clinical practice, education and research.

Is our Clinic Right for you?

When you or someone you know has cancer, including advanced or late stage cancer, one of the most important decisions you will make is where to go for the treatment. At our clinic we adopt the concept of "integrative cancer care" that makes all the difference to patients and families who come to us. We offer the option of "Integrative Oncology" for patients who might be helped by complementary methods as well as mainstream treatments. We take pains to ensure that patients have a reasonable understanding of the rationale behind their therapies.

Conventional Cancer Care

Our Gynecologic Oncology programme specializes in treating women with cancer of the reproductive organs, including cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar cancers. We are able to offer sophisticated, minimally invasive techniques to detect and treat cancers and pre-cancerous tumours. Then, we'll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your needs and preferences. We use some of the most up to date treatments available, and support you with therapies to boost your immune system, reduce pain and improve quality of life. We also target gynecologic cancer with the latest technology that helps to spare healthy tissue. If you want to preserve your fertility during treatment, your oncologist will also discuss with you a variety of fertility-sparing procedures and whether they may be right for you.

Complementary treatment

Complementary therapies may be employed where necessary to help reduce side effects, promote independence, and relieve stress for a better quality of life. Some of these therapies include: orthomolecular medicine, nutritional therapy, oncology rehabilitation and mind-body medicine. The choice of treatment will depend upon the type of cancer, how much it has spread, and the physical condition of the patient. Our specialist will spend time with individual patient to inform him/her of the potential benefits and risks associated with the protocols recommend, and ultimately it is the patient who decides on the protocol to be implemented. We believe that the power to prevent and heal cancer ultimately lies in the hands of the patient.
